"Very welcoming landlady, the food is excellent, and they're very dog/walker friendly. Well kept pint of Black Sheep too. It's looking a bit tired in places, but apparently the plan is to start re-furbing once they get established. If you like a proper pub with a real fire (OK, it's stove, but you know what I mean), this is well worth a visit. Only criticism is the beer is a bit pricey, but no more so than in other Dales pubs in the tourist areas."

It is the second largest mountain in Yorkshire, and together with Whernside and Penyghent forms part of the three peaks on the edge of the Yorkshire dales national park. The image is updated every 5 minutes during daylight hours showing current weather conditions.

Hudson House is a Rural Resource and Enterprise Centre opened its doors to the public on 24 January 2003. Hudson House is a one-roof centre where local people and visitors to Swaledale and Arkengarthdale can gain access to a diverse range of amenities which otherwise would not be available because of the remoteness of the two dales
